Al Sadd started this season very well. They signed Santiago Cazorla and Guilerhme, and on their wings they destroyed Al Kharitiyath (1:5) and Al Sailiya (1:5) in the first 2 rounds of Qatar's league. Here in the AFC Champions League, they dropped to the 2nd position after Al Nassr won over Sepahan while Al Sadd took just one point against Al Ain. Just a few days ago we saw an incredible game which ended 3:3 at the end. Al Sadd created a lot of chances and I wouldn't be surprised if we see them scoring again at least 3 goals here.
Their coach Xavi at the press conference said: “We created over 12 chances to score in the previous game, but we need to attack more and increase our efficiency in front of goal while focusing on defending better. We deserved to win the last match because we dominated but that game is in the past now. We need to create more chances and avoid making the mistakes we did. I love working under pressure, and players use the pressure to drive them to win but I don’t like players feeling pressured, I just want them to go out there and enjoy their game. Both teams have some star players with international experience who can change the course of a game, so we were not surprised by how well Al Ain played the last time around. We have to get the win.”
Al Ain scored more goals than any other team in 19 rounds played in UAE before COVID-19 suspended the competition. They have great foreigners - Caio Canedo, Kodjo Laba, Wilson Eduardo (newcomer from Braga), Bauyrzhan Islamkhan. On the most important goal-scoring positions they have foreigners while local players are mostly in the defensive line, and that's a great mix for our "both teams to score" bet.
Their coach Pedro Emanuel at the press conference said: “The first game was superb, and we played extremely well especially for a side that had not played a competitive match in six months. We know Al Sadd play an attacking game and have the ability to score and finish games off, but we knew how to deal with the game in order to get the result we wanted to get at the end. We respect Al Sadd, but we know we have everything we need to get the win. We have two or three plans for every game, as a match goes by, we try to adapt to how things are coming along and that is what happened in the first game. We managed to get the draw at the end and pressed hard to get the winner. Expectations are much higher after the first game, but we have to be realistic and acknowledge the fact that our chances of progression are slim. Nonetheless, we will keep fighting till the end.”
Conclusion: As you can see, we have two teams who both need win and both want to win here. They have great foreigners, they played just a few days ago mutual game where we saw 6 goals, and I'm really surprised by these odds. I will take this bet without much thinking. Good luck!
